I am sad. Here's his obiturary from the SFWA site.

Science fiction will be a little less fun without him....

Sheckley is probably my all time favorite Science Fiction author. His short stories are fantastic, and range wildly from the thoughful to the just bizzare. I've only had the pleasure to read a few of his full length novels, and I can only hope that maybe some of them will come back in print.

I'm glad I have that signed copy of Crompton Divided.

NESFA has two anthologies in print, one of some of his short novels (http://www.nesfa.org/press/Books/Sheckley-1.html) and one of his major short fiction (http://www.nesfa.org/press/Books/Sheckley-2.html). You might want to pick them up, they're reasonably priced. Heck, I wouldn't mind reading through them myself.
