The complete lack of creativity continues

Well, not a bad weekend, but still no ideas or energy to write or anything. It's been bugging me. I've been kind of feeling at loose ends, wandery and everthing. I did have fun today at Strahd's in yet another session of his big D&D game. Unfortunately, due to everyone's schedules, it looks like we'll only be playing once in May. (We're skipping next week anyway.)

So yeah. It occurs to me that I haven't really mentioned it (though I'd imagine a lot of you know), but I'll be in Western Mass next weekend. That being said, I have no idea what kind of free time I might have. My time's not really my own; I told LadyArren that I'd be there if she needed me for anything before the wedding. I'll be staying in Florence at her house. I do hope to make it into Amherst, at least, and maybe briefly to Hampshire for old time's sake, but I don't know. I won't have a car or anything. So yeah, we'll have to see.

I'm reading a book I really want to post about, but, well, I'm not done with it yet! It's a Cold War "science fiction" novel from the mid 50s by CM Kornbluth. I put SF in quotes because had this been published ten years later (with a suitable jump in the novel's timeline), it'd have been considered a "thriller" or something. It's very interesting to read....maybe I'll post about it later this week. Then again, maybe I won't. I'm not promising anything. ;-)
