I've created a new community for past, present and future members of Excalibur, Hampshire's SF/F/RPG club! It's at http://www.livejournal.com/community/excalibur_hamp/ and I hope those of you who are interested (which, at the very least, should be all you alums!) will join! And feel free to spread the word to members past and present who might not see this post. I'm going to try and get the url to a current member (they have a website), so we'll hopefully get some newer people on there as well. My rationale for the community's creation is all on the first post, so I won't repeat it here--go check it out! (It's just a click away, after all.) Join and post--let's share our stories, memories and anything else we want to share. :-)

By the way, does anyone have an icon-worthy scan of Shemme's Hamster picture? That'd make a nice default icon for the community. :-)
Scientists reveal: People have favorable reaction to Agatha Christie's writing!

Ok, I can dig the whole "it's helping us find out how the brain reacts/works" thing, but there's a part of me that still says, they give grants for this?

Watching the new version of "Once Upon a Matress," with Tracey Ullman as Princess Winifred and Carol Burnett (!) as the Queen. It's fun. Not quite as silly as I feel it should be, but fun.

We've pretty much decided that Amythyst's stomach problems are related to the new medication she's been taking (it's listed as a side effect), so hopefully she'll feel a bit better tomorrow.

And hey, any of you who've had anything to do with Excalibur, why haven't you joined my new community yet? (Not that, y'know, I'm a little worried no one will or anything....)
