Some links for Hallow'een
Oct. 31st, 2006 12:53 pmWhile this won't be my happiest All Hallows, I have found a few things that might amuse you all. This link list might grow over the day as I think of more things, or it might turn into several posts, so keep checking back for more ghostly goodness. You have been warned. :-)
First and foremost, if you haven't had the chance to read Neil Gaiman's Halloween NYT Op-Ed piece, do yourself a favor and click on the link. It's a masterful piece of writing. (That link shouldn't require NYT registration, I hope.)
On a much...less scary, more disturbing note, here's a look at what might be the silliest Halloween movie ever--The Worst Witch. For your extra-disturbing scare, here's Tim Curry's music video from the movie. Shudder
The mighty Mike Sterling (of Progressive Ruin fame) brings us his Five Favorite Scary Superman Moments. I can say with all candor that #2 on his list disturbs me to this day.
How do they celebrate Halloween in the 30th/31st Century? Mike reveals all! As an extra for Legion fans, the Plantary Chance Machine wants to show you something Really Scary... [EDIT: Warning--although this last link loaded fine the first couple times I checked it out, it has since made Safari crash every time I've clicked on it. I'm leaving it up because that may be just me or just Safari...and because I thought it was funny.]
That's all for now, my friends. More later, perhaps, as I find it on this All Hallow's Eve....
