OTR?

May. 24th, 2007 09:54 am
So, I'm looking for sites to download (preferrably for free, or a nominal fee) old time radio programs to listen to on my Omnicom during all the traveling I'll be doing over the next couple of months. I've found a few places (including a site that sells large numbers of mp3s on CDs, which is less than optimum for my purposes), but I figured I'd throw the question out to the community at large. (Unfortunately, the one person whose LJ I read who I know listens to OTR doesn't have me friended or know me from Adam, but I figured some of you folks who don't talk about it much might know too!)

I have done some google searches, but more directed help would be great. :-)

Thanks guys!
Award-winning Alt-Cartoonist Peter Bagge examines sports team owners, stadiums and assorted issues, with particular emphasis on his home town, Seattle. Take a look. link via Tom S.

just a note: Bagge doesn't seem to be anti-pro sports, by any means. he seems more frustrated by the "blackmailing" and corporate welfare involved. me, I don't care too much about sports, but the money stuff gets me a bit hot under the collar....
....but, oh my goodness, do I need to get this. One of my favorite GNs combined with one of my currently favorite actors...who is cast absolutely perfectly. [EDIT]: and apparently Paul Darrow's in it too! Whoa!

It'll probably cost a small mint to import and will, thus, have to wait some time, but man, would I like to get my hands on a copy.

by the way, if any of you haven't read Arkwright, do yourself a favor. true, it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's pretty darn amazing--not to mention influential. I loves me some good Bryan Talbot storytelling...
