Mordekainen Rests at Last.
Mar. 4th, 2008 11:16 amGary Gygax has passed away.
He was 69.
His impact on my life, and the lives of many of my friends, can't really be overestimated. A great deal of my social life, I owe to him. A great number of my friends were brought together because of what he did back in the '70s and early '80s. (Yeah, and Dave Arneson and others too, but that's a battle that doesn't need to be fought here.)
Thank you, Mr. Gygax, for Dungeons and Dragons, for Greyhawk, for Mordekainen, for Zygyg, for....well, for everything.
[UPDATE: Here's the message board thread mentioned in the news article. No sign of the "official announcement" yet, though.]
