The Good: Happy 69th birthday, Hayao Miyazaki! If you're not familiar with his movies or his comics, you're really depriving yourself, even if you don't generally like manga or anime. Trust me.
The Bad: Apparently, artist/writer Barry Blair passed away the other day from a brain aneurysm. He was pretty young (46). I was never all that fond of his work on either Elflord or (especially) Elfquest, but it was still a bit of a shock when I saw the news.
The Awesome: Steve Bissette is doing a web comic. Trust me, this is #%!@^! AWESOME news. New Bissette comics? @$@^ Yeah! It's called "King of Monster Isle." The first page is here and the second is here. Click and enjoy; I can't wait for more!
