We raise our jelly babies in salute!
Nov. 23rd, 2005 01:25 pmHappy 42nd birthday, Doctor Who!
And I promised you some more Who content (for those of you who care about such things), so....I had far, far too much fun reading this "new season" of the show, made entirely with, yes, action figures. I know, I know, but trust me: the writing is good, the production values are surprisingly good and it's a lot of fun. Six "episodes" plus a prologue and an epilogue give us a full season of fun. Technically, it's a sequel to this story by the same creator, but I thought the latter was a lot lower in quality. But the setup is great--the Doctor is old, very old, in the last of his incarnations, and he has been retired for a very long time, living with his regrets. But after all that time, he keeps getting interrupted, first by his conscience (in the short story), then by....but check out The Second Key for yourself!
So. Have had an all right morning, but I'll have to be on the go a lot this afternoon. Have to go shopping for Amythyst's contributions to Pinky and Spoo's Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. Then I might go and pick up my check and take it to the bank. Or I may just wait and let them mail it to me; going to get it might be a touch annoying, since I have to come home after shopping as I'll have refrigerated items. It's just as well, I'd rather be home and hanging out with Amythyst than running around running errands.
And then tomorrow...turkey! :-)
So, go read new adventures of the Doctor, have turkey tomorrow and enjoy your day. :-)
