And now for something....completely different.
Not exactly what I was expecting at all, I must say. It was....good...some of it was quite good. But clocking in at 71 minutes, it did feel a bit bloated, like it could have been tightened up a bit, losing parts with no harm to the whole. And there were some parts that worked less well. And now, ( incoherent spoiler time! )
I don't want to sound negative, because I was very much left with a positive feeling when I got to the end. It's definitely the biggest, the boldest and...the least successful of the three Christmas specials thus far. (Of course, I know some of you don't agree with me about the other two, so...)
The "Next Time" trailer? Hmm, looks like lots of action this season. Interestingly, I only caught one quick glimpse of Martha, which is interesting since she'll be in (from what I'm led to understand) either nine or ten of the thirteen episodes in series four. Well, we shall see in a few months! Well, ok, too many months....(And yes, I'm still liking what I see of Donna--exactly what the series needs, a companion who's not mooning over the Doctor!)
