So, while surfing around, looking at "Voyage of the Damned" reviews (it's quiet here this morning--too quiet), I came upon a review for the first episode of the new Torchwood. Did that also air yesterday, or did someone have an advanced tape? I haven't kept up with TW news (less interest), but if it did show, then I'll have to grab it and watch it. Not a James Marsters fan, but apparently his "Shadow-Jack" is pretty fun--something the "real" Captain Jack really has yet to be on TW.

So, anyone know anything?
I meant to check this out and post it before Christmas; the official BBC site was supposed to have put a link up, but I never saw it. Still, here's Paul Cornell's annual (well, two years makes a tradition, don't it?) Doctor Who Christmas story, "The Hopes and Fears of All the Years."

It is lovely. And I'd challenge you to finish the story without...a little something in your eye.....
Holy Wow! The ratings are in for last night's Christmas special and they are even better than last year's. In fact, "Voyage of the Damned" saw the highest audience share since Tom Baker was the Doctor!

Also in the above link, information on viewing an official streaming version of the Christmas special. I'm at work and thus unable to try it, so I've no idea if this is another "your IP is not registered as a UK user, so too bad for you" situation. But I thought I should, you know, point that out. [EDIT: Confirmed: "No UK user, too bad for you!" Ah well....]

But wow! Good job to David, Russell, James Strong and the entire Doctor Who team! The special may not have totally worked for me, but you've obviously satisfied a lot of people!
