Hmm, a new story by a writer who'd never written for Doctor Who before. After last week, I have to admit that my expectations were not high, but I'm very happy they were both met and exceeded. There were more interesting new ideas thrown out than I've seen in probably most of this thirty-third series. Not all of them landed perfectly, I have to add, but at least they were there and felt new, unlike last week.
I think it's safe to say I liked this one. With quibbles, but there are always quibbles. ( And now, some quibble space. )
NEXT WEEK: The Cold War and a Russian nuclear submarine has been invaded by...something. Can the Doctor prevent the sub's missiles being launched? An old enemy returns in "Cold War" by Mark Gatiss! Can't wait!
