Well, all of the early Pink Floyd videos I posted last week have been taken off Youtube at the request of Pink Floyd Management Ltd., as they were being "used without permission." To which I say, damn. I was really enjoying dipping into the old wayback machine there. On the other hand, I can't blame them for wanting the vids taken down; they were mostly promotional films, etc. I guess they used the upswing of interest after Syd's death as an excuse.
One could hope that PF will do something with all that content, though...I'd love to see a "1967-1972" DVD at some point. (i.e. pre-Dark Side of the Moon.) Then maybe a post-Dark Side one....
Well, as a consolation, here's Jethro Tull in 1970 performing a great live version of "With You There to Help Me/By Kind Permission Of," the latter of which always makes me smile.
