So, just watched the "Drive" pilot

It was....ok. Honestly, though, I'm not sure how well they'll keep people's interest. I mean, yeah, there can be all kinds of intrigue and missions and things, but it seems like a series with a built-in end point that the producers will try to spin out as long as they can...and I can see the show getting thin.

Of course, I had similar thoughts when I finally saw the "Lost" pilot....though "Lost" had more interesting characters and better writing.

Anyway, I guess time will tell.

I have Drive Tivoed, but I haven't watched it yet.

Lost started out kind of slowly for me. It didn't really grab me until late into the first season. Now I'm hooked.

I still haven't seen beyond the first season. Waiting for your boyfriend to buy the second season boxed set so I can borrow it this summer. ;-)

But yeah, I think the pilot was good. I'm just a bit concerned that thing'll wear thin--you gotta end the race or move it along or something, you can't delay forever. Unlike Lost where, when they started, they could keep people on the island for as long as it took. If you see what I mean.
