RIP Paul Tibbits

The pilot of the Enola Gay, Paul Tibbits has passed away at the age of 92. Obviously, there's a hell of a lot of baggage connected with the bombing of Hiroshima, but it's possible that if we hadn't dropped the bomb, many more soldiers and civillians would have been killed. I don't know, though that's what I (and many others) suspect. (World War II isn't exactly my area.)
At any rate, Paul Tibbits served his country to the best of his ability and helped end a war that had the potential to devestate at least one country. He deserves to be remembered for that.
