I know, I know, it's only seven minutes long (which probably means more like five, not including the titles), but I'm just too excited about "Time Crash," the Doctor Who entry for this year's "Children In Need" telethon, starring David Tennant and Peter Davison as the Doctor! Er, Doctors! And it's written by two-time Hugo winner (I just like saying that) Stephen Moffat, so can't be too bad. For those who are waiting, it's supposed to air in the UK sometime between 8 and 9pm GMT. I plan on running home and...acquiring it. (Yes, [livejournal.com profile] ketina, I do plan on bringing my laptop over tonight so you guys can grab it and we can watch it on your v large television, as it was meant to be seen. Well, that's my plan, anyway.)

According to the Radio Times, by the way, this special is meant to be "in continuity," for whatever that's worth. Which probably means it will be on the series four box set. Which would be very good news.

I guess we'll see how it is in a bit! Can't wait....

And to play your fantabulous fighter/rogue? Perhaps? :-)

(This is assuming I have no problems getting the special, of course. No guarantees in the world of teh internets.)

You're coming over anyway, right? Game night, remember? Have you finished your character?

Can't wait to hear how it is!! We don't have a TV, so I have to wait until it comes out on DVD. Moffat is one of my favorite writers of the new season.

We just got done watching the entire 3rd series in 6 days. We got the DVD last Saturday, and finished it tonight.

The third season is my favorite so far, I think. I mean, I really, really, really enjoyed season one, but season two didn't have as many good scripts. Season three, though? Not a clunker in the lot. Loved it.

By the way, I, er, didn't see the special on broadcast television. Um, if you have a high speed internet connection, you can, um, get a copy of it. And, if you look, it's up on Youtube somewhere....

oooh, thanks for the viewing tips. :) :-)

Yes, I agree with you about the third season being my favorite. Every episode was good. My faves were Blink, the ones with the Master, and the Human Nature two-parter. But all were good and consistent. David Tennant has really settled into the role, too - and he has really grown on me now. I can now say I like him in the role as much as Eccleston, Baker and McGann.

Oh, I've heard rumors that the actor who played the Master may take over the Doctor role when Tennant leaves. I really liked him as the Master, so I think he may be a good choice, if the rumors are true. And have you heard about the rumors around the Rani being the possible person who picked up the Master's ring?

There are various rumors about who found the Master's ring, and RTD has gone on record as saying he wanted to leave it open. He hasn't confirmed the Rani, but he's said it could be a possibility. (Personally, I still hope it was Lucie...which would mean shooting him was all part of a contingency plan...)

Your mention of a John Simm rumor is the first I've heard about it. The Who office claims that David will be around until at least the beginning of series five (which will be in 2010). I do know that David says he is in no hurry to leave!

One reviewer suggested that there was more to Lucie than met the eye, so we shall see. Another one mentioned that she may have been a body for the Master to use after he died..... ?? The speculation is so much fun!

Oh, I meant to say that my faves included the first two with the master, but the last one ("the last of the time lords") isn't included, probably for reasons you can agree with. :-)
