I know, I know, it's only seven minutes long (which probably means more like five, not including the titles), but I'm just too excited about "Time Crash," the Doctor Who entry for this year's "Children In Need" telethon, starring David Tennant and Peter Davison as the Doctor! Er, Doctors! And it's written by two-time Hugo winner (I just like saying that) Stephen Moffat, so can't be too bad. For those who are waiting, it's supposed to air in the UK sometime between 8 and 9pm GMT. I plan on running home and...acquiring it. (Yes,
ketina, I do plan on bringing my laptop over tonight so you guys can grab it and we can watch it on your v large television, as it was meant to be seen. Well, that's my plan, anyway.)
According to the Radio Times, by the way, this special is meant to be "in continuity," for whatever that's worth. Which probably means it will be on the series four box set. Which would be very good news.
I guess we'll see how it is in a bit! Can't wait....

Date: 2007-11-17 03:04 pm (UTC)Yes, I agree with you about the third season being my favorite. Every episode was good. My faves were Blink, the ones with the Master, and the Human Nature two-parter. But all were good and consistent. David Tennant has really settled into the role, too - and he has really grown on me now. I can now say I like him in the role as much as Eccleston, Baker and McGann.
Oh, I've heard rumors that the actor who played the Master may take over the Doctor role when Tennant leaves. I really liked him as the Master, so I think he may be a good choice, if the rumors are true. And have you heard about the rumors around the Rani being the possible person who picked up the Master's ring?

Date: 2007-11-17 07:11 pm (UTC)Your mention of a John Simm rumor is the first I've heard about it. The Who office claims that David will be around until at least the beginning of series five (which will be in 2010). I do know that David says he is in no hurry to leave!

Date: 2007-11-18 09:25 pm (UTC)Oh, I meant to say that my faves included the first two with the master, but the last one ("the last of the time lords") isn't included, probably for reasons you can agree with. :-)
