Baffling...

morganminstrelI got my final paper (from American Humor) back in the mail today. (I'd included a SASE when I turned it in so I could have it for my records.) As you know, I think, although the paper wasn't bad, it didn't come anywhere near fulfilling the requirements of the assignment. To be honest, the paper was kind of "half-assed," I figured at best it was a mid-B paper.
So when I saw the envelope, I opened it with some trepidation. I'd already seen my grade (A minus), so I knew I hadn't totally flunked on the paper, but I was still dreading her comments.
She gave me 100 points out of 100. A 100%. She wrote good (albeit sparse) comments. To me, this makes no sense. I didn't complete the assignment adequetely. I...I just don't get it.
If nothing else, this gives me a good idea of what she considers to be an "A minus": by my calculations, I should have gotten a final grade of 93%. (To be honest, I'm not sure if that should be an A minus or a full A...I *could* e-mail her and ask her whether the grade should be changed...do you guys think it'd be worth it? I'm really asking here....)
